From since I can remember I have been the dedicated “artist” in the family. Birthday and Christmas cards were my speciality and creativity has always been a part of who I am. After acquiring my degree in Visual Communications from the University of Stellenbosch, I spent 4 years in the digital printing, advertising and marketing industries in Durbs before setting up as a freelancer on the North Coast. We moved to Salt Rock in 2011 and haven’t looked back!
As cliché as it sounds, I really love what I do! I believe it makes the difference between good design and great design. Design is ever changing and ever challenging and along with keeping relevant, I am always learning. New trends, new software, new opportunities. Running a business has come with many of its own experiences and I am grateful for the support of family and clients over the years.
Honestly, being a “graphic designer” never crossed my mind when I started planning my career. I always wanted to be an architect since I can remember. After a very uncreative year studying Maths at the University of Pretoria, I needed a change. I fell in love with graphic design after seeing the projects some of my design friends were working on and immediately sent my portfolio to the Open Window School of Visual Communications where I double majored in Graphic Design and Illustration. With my degree and excitement for the future, I entered the working force in 2013.
I was born in New Castle, grew up in Pretoria, got married and lived in Ballito and recently moved to the Western Cape. What can I say? I love to be on the move! Luckily we live in the 21st Century which makes it possible for me to travel while working. I recently joined the Full Cream team and I enjoy working with Hayley, who is very driven and inspiring woman!
Haylee is our newest member fresh out of the Vega School of Brand Leadership where she’s just completed her studies. She’s quirky, down to earth and a right-brained thinker – and fits right in! Haylee has spent some time interning with some of the bigger names in the industry and will be putting her enthusiasm into our social media management offering as well as making sure our studio runs smoothly.
Haylee enjoys a challenge and with her love to be creative, she’s eager to produce meaningful messages through good and well thought out design and content.
Having grown up on small dairy farm just outside a little place called Estcourt in the KZN midlands, it seemed right to name a business after what it would represent – a service that would be 100% based on the goodness and quality with which I was brought up on. Full Cream was born and while starting as a freelance service in 2011, it has steadily grown into a busy little studio, where we pride ourselves on high quality design work.
